Our trip will Start on Halloween night, when we fly to Buenos Aires. After a few days exploring South America’s third largest city, we’ll be off to Patagonia and then Ushuaia. We will spend a day exploring this city, which is on the Southern tip of South America, and then board our ship, the Roald Amundsen. Our trip will then take us through the Drake Passage, where we pray for the Drake Lake, not the Drake Shake. The first landmass that we will see after the passage are the Shetland Islands and shortly thereafter we will reach the long peninsula of Antarctica, where we will spend the next five days doing landings via small motorboats. We will continue on to the Falkland Islands, where we will spend a two-three days, before our return to Ushuaia and home, just in time for Thanksgiving!
